Product description:
Dispense Valve incorporating a Flow sensor for interfacing with an On-Line Monitor for process monitoring. LOCTITE 97138 (IDH 1147046) is a Dispense Valve incorporating a Flow sensor for interfacing with an On-Line Monitor and LOCTITE Controller. The combination monitors the product dispense by detecting a pressure signal fro the sensor. This provides an in-process dispense quality control. The additional equipment required is the On-Line Monitor 97211 and LOCTITE Dual Channel Controller 97152.
Application field:
LOCTITE 97138 Flow Sensing Dispensing Valve is a normally-closed diaphragm valve that provides high-resolution stroke adjustment and results in consistent flow control. It includes a Pressure Transducer that is used to measure the pressure of the adhesive flow which is an indication of the flow of the adhesive. Light Cure Adhesives, retaining compounds and threadlockers in a broad range of viscosities from low to medium viscosity can be dispensed with this valve.
Operation:
The LOCTITE Dispensing Valve is opened via a single-acting cylinder. In rest position the dosing valve is closed. The sealing in the rest position is effected by pressure of the piston via a spring on the diaphragm. The diaphragm seals the product bore in the valve. An inlet pressure of 4 to 6 bar moves the diaphragm seal, which is connected to a piston rod, over a preset path length so that product can flow into the diaphragm chamber. The product quantity is determined by the following factors: Opening time of the dosing valve, dosing pressure in the product tank, size of the dosing tip, stroke of the diaphragm closing piston (max. 0.6 mm) and viscosity of the product to be processed. The dispensing valve 97138 can only be used in conjunction with the preamplifier 97211 and the control units 97152.
Features and benefits:Monitors dispense parameters Detects blocked nozzles Detects air bubbles in adhesive flow
Parameters: Dimensions : 78,5 mm (L) x 26,9 mm (D) Weight : 0.3 kg Compressed Air Supply : Minimum 5 bar (73 PSI), maximum 7 bar (100 PSI) Pneumatic Quality : Filtered 10 μm, oil-free, non condensing Hose Size, Pilot Air Connection : Outer Diameter 4mm, Inner Diameter 2,5 Product Hose : Standard 1/4“ Dosing Pressure Range of Valve : 0,5 bar – 4 bar
